I am planning to buy garmin fenix 6 sapphire. I checked the internet and all the blueish Backlit issue date back to 6 months. Is it still there or garmin has fixed this issue on every model. Also need a suggestion, is it worth spending 100 usd extra for the sapphire model or 6 pro is good enough and long lasting. My usage will be 24 7 watch with 5 k run every day

A lot of people find the mineral crystal makes the display much easier to read in certain light situations. It also doesn't scratch easy at all. I've had one for year and years, not a scratch.

I had both the sapphire and regular models. I found that the sapphire crystal (due to its higher index of refraction) was so much worse with reflections- that I went with the 'cheaper' mineral crystal. There's another thread with a ton of comparative pictures (a few of which are mine). Some people actually prefer the look of the sapphire reflections, as it makes the watch look more high end- but, from a function standpoint, I think much worse visibility. Once I saw the clear blackness of the background in the mineral crystal- it was an easy sell. There's not a scratch on my crystal after 7 months of daily wear.
That said- I am noticing that the black coated bezel- on its edges, is beginning to lose some of its blackness. I would have gotten one with a stainless steel brushed metal bezel if the model combination was available ( you need to go sapphire for that I think). Or, perhaps the DLC coating on the bezels would also offer additional wear protection...once again, you need to go sapphire. so- there may be other reasons to choose the sapphire models that you may prefer.
