Can't pair Fenix 6x pro to Wahoo for cycling

I have a fenix 6x pro and would like to pair it with Wahoo cycling app so that I can see my heart rate on my phone in real time while cycling. Is this possible? I have tried to pair it by going into "sensors & accessories" and Wahoo won't find it. I also don't see it in my paired apps in Garmin connect. Thank you!

You need to enable the 6X to BROADCAST the heart rate from the watch. You do this from the Sensors Menu, WHR, Broadcast.

You can broadcast without starting an activity or from within an activity. I performed some tests a few months ago that demonstrated that broadcast heart rate outside an activity was near worthless as it was simply wrong. Later firmware might have changed behaviour, but it's not a function I need so I haven't checked. Results might be better broadcasting from within an activity, but again it's not something I've explored. I use a chest strap.
