Spotify wifi download issues

I continue to have issues trying to synch spotify playlists.  This has been an issue since I got the watch.  It starts but after 10 to 15 min I get wifi fail. I than restart and it seems to pick up where it left off which is a good thing but getting to be a pain.  Still today, added around 30 songs to my playlist and trying to sych.  I have had to restart the wifi about 5 times already and it is still not done.  A bit of a pain.

  • it has to be your device problem (maybe even Hardware one). I have f6pro. Works with my spotify for many months. Maybe try factory reset and reinstall again.

  • i don't think it's the device, it's actually the second device doing the same, maybe it's my wifi, some type of time out maybe

I would agree...that sounds like a hardware issue because the spotify has worked perfectly for me (though long playlists will sap the battery quite a bit), but in terms of functionality, I have found it to be pretty seamless and consistent

  • Having the same issue but now mine won't even get above 0% before giving me sync failed.  Have restarted the watch, reinstalled the app, and factory reset.  Super annoying, used to work flawlessly.

  • Just replaced my Vivoactive 3 Music with 6 Pro. Spotify sync in my home Wifi is very unreliable (I had no problems with VA3M), usually it downloads a song or two, and then fails. If I try immediately again, it fails right away. Later it might work again. Today I tried mobile hotspot from phone, and it worked flawlessly, multiple times. Definitely seems like some compatibility issue. Router is Netgear R7800.

  • in my case mobile hot spoting didn't help at all. my playlist is about 350 songs, it's that too large? i am unable to synch the last 15 songs.  each attempt fails,  if iam lucky i get one new song after many symc attempts

  • Maybe, I tried to sync a list 357 titles. Sync stopped after 298. Only tried one more time and gave up.

  • Having the same issue now. It used to work fine. The sync starts but after a few minutes it fails. It will actually download a few songs but then fail which indicates it's connecting but not holding. Ever since I upgraded my wifi network to Netgear Orbi (which works flawlessly with everything else in the house) I've had issues with it. I even checked on the router settings if the watch was connected to 2.4GHz band and it was indeed was.

I even tried deleting the playlist and uninstalling spotify but that didnt work. Frankly, I've been growing a strong dislike for the watch over the past few months. Every time I finally manage to go for a run I spend at least 10 - 15 minutes messing around with settings and updating my spotify playlists. Where is the auto update playlist when charging? Why can't I listen music while syncing? Why can't I add my "Liked songs" as a playlist instead I have to create a duplicate playlist. For a $650 piece of hardware, this aspect of it quite cheap and poorly made.

  • Try syncing as close as possible to the router. I put my Fenix 6 charger 3 feet away from my hotspot, syncs like a charm while charging.

  • I tried putting right next to the router - same issue. Wifi bars are all solid. Im on my 30th attempt and only 28 songs have been added.
