I just bought a fenix 6X Sapphire from on online retailer and they have a very strict return policy. If you open the box, you cannot return it, so I am kind of stuck wondering about the product I just ordered. On one hand, I am super excited about the device, but on the other hand, I read in the forums that there was/is (?) a manufacturing issue where some folks who ordered the exact same watch, experienced a "blue'ish"/washed out tint whenever the backlight was pressed, as opposed to the deep, saturated black colors like they show in the pictures.
This thread where this matter was discussed though was from around 5 - 7 months ago. Can anyone advise if this issue has been resolved and if garmin has figured out how to manufacture a consistent product and user experience with these devices yet, or is it still a gamble on which type I may end up with? Unfortunately I have to make a decision on whether to keep it or return it before I am able to even turn it on (according to the return policy of this particular retailer...)
