Notifications through headphones with multiple connections

just curious if anyone else sees the following. I have aeropex Bluetooth headphones and I'm on version 9 on 6 pro. If I play music from my watch to the headphones, pace alerts work fine. On long runs ill take my phone and connect the headphones to that instead to save the battery on the watch. Then I don't get the alerts, the watch still  vibrates and alerts but nothing through the headphones. I checked the app and it set to alert, not sure what else to check.

  • Well, I think what you're describing is a normal behaviour. Your watch is not connected to the headphones (or is it? You can check it in the Sensors menu during your run). I also have Aeropex and the way it works for me when I'm listening to the podcasts from my phone during those long runs to save watch battery (just as you have described!) is that I only hear lap announcements from Garmin Connect mobile app. But actually now looking at the options in the app, that is exactly how I have it set (go to Devices, Fenix, Activity Options, Audio Prompts): Lap Alerts and On-Device Alerts on, the rest off.

  • It shouldn't be normal behaviour. The watch is connected to the app. There should be no reason it can't create alerts via the app.
