Fenix 6x Pro Death Pixel.

Hi everyone,

I saw a subject for screen brightness on another topic today. While testing on my own fenix screen, I saw that there were dead pixels on the screen.Does anyone have experience in this regard before?

For example, it does not seem very much at 10%. I generally used it at 10% screen brightness. When I made it 100% I saw dead pixels.

Tomorrow I will meet with service in Turkey. Did this happen to you? or what does Garmin do in such a situation?

  • Oh, I'd forgotten about the service menu. That includes a screen test.

    Service Menu:

    1. turn OFF watch (press light button and select power off)

    2. HOLD down the DOWN button, (bottom left) don't let go

    3. while keep holding DOWN, power on by pressing light button and let light button go

    4. wait a bit, don't let go of down, eventually service menu comes up

A couple of presses of the lap button will take you to the screen test. That should show any dead pixel clearly.

    Hi,

mcliasta thank you for your interest. fFankly, I did not know that there was such a menu :)

I can see clearly in my test here. It stands in white in the same upper corner.

Hi, do you have any updates on this matter from Gamin CS? I have similar issue with my FR945.

I read from other threat that Garmin would provide replacement unit. Hopefully that would be the solution we all hope.

Appreciate for your share on this.
