Watch Face option missing in menu

Lately when my Fenix 6s goes into battery saving mode the watch face I selected disappears to a basic one showing just the date, time and battery level. After charging I'm unable to get my original watch face back and there is no "Watch Face" option on the menu. Any idea what's going on and do I always have to reset everything to get my settings back?

Are you coming back OUT of battery saving mode? Because I don't think there is a watch face menu in BS mode

That could be it. I assume there is a setting that allows me to adjust the Battery Saving Mode to go away when the watch has been charged?

Yes in the menu go

Settings -> Power Manager -> Battery Saver and check it's OFF

That did not work for me; even out of battery saver mode and battery saver taken off; still cannot find menu item "watch face"

not watch face. It is called displaydesign. 1st option after a long press on the UP key.
