new pixel buds 2 comparison v Bose sound sport free

So I've been using the new pixel buds 2 on a few runs and like them better than the Bose sound sport free's I've been wearing.

consider the following: you want to go run, you have your phone nearby, the pixel buds are charging in their case,

you take the buds out of their case and put in ears, by the time you're done putting them in your ear, your phone that they are paired with chirps telling you they are connected.

you then go to music on your garmin F6X pro and select whichever music you want, then select the pixel buds and BAM they connect immediately and play,

So no annoying voice announcements about connecting to "device name here" and even after the buds are connected to another device, they give up that connection freely to connect to the garmin watch,

much better experience

But if you're wearing the watch on your left wrist, they still have an inconsistent connection quality. Mine still can cut out, right wrist work fine. Do the pixel buds work when wearing the watch…

Thanks. Was wondering about Pixel 2 buds. I am waiting to see - hopefully Sony's WF-1000XM4 in July (and that it is sweat proof/water proof?!)

Same with the Samsung Galaxy Buds. They are perfect with the Fenix. They just had an update which finally fixed the custom touchpad issue so the volume and ambient sound works now. They will automatically disconnect from the phone when you go to play music on the watch and you can use either bud separately.

My Galaxy Buds do not cut out ever. I wear my watch on my left wrist. I can wear both buds, or I often wear either the right one or the left one. I never get cut outs. I do not have the Pixel Buds.

Yes, I run outside with them and also do treadmill and indoor biking.

Strange, I do have an ANT+ hr sensor (polar OH1) and Stryd also connected via ANT+ maybe there is interference? I run outside open large green area. Is it the standard Galaxy buds or the plus version. I've also noticed indoor they seem fine can even place my hand behind my back ( this is with stryd and OH1 on by starting activity). Will try different locations. Thanks

I use a HRM-Run and a Stryd at the same time as my Galaxy Buds with no problem. The Buds are bluetooth, not Ant+, so they would have no problem at all. I have the original Galaxy Buds, not the new plus version. Also, make sure you go into the Galaxy Wearable app on the phone and update your Buds. The Buds and the app both just got new updates which finally allowed the volume control to work with the watch.

I know they're bluetooth and I have updated to the latest firmware were the volume now works. I've read elsewhere true wireless earbuds have signal quality issues compared to the ones that are linked via a cable ( but still bluetooth) and the samsung ones don't fare too well compared to others. This has been my experience with them, initially they even had issues with my samsung s10 phone. Got them free so not too bothered. You're lucky you don't have any issues.

Mine cut out on left wrist outdoors too. Changed to AirPods Pro.
