  • That sure looks good, have you donje similar test before? Do you see any difference in this GPS software?

  • On the topic of the reworked notification handling: Do I get to see the 2nd (3rd or more) message of the same person, if he/she sends it while the first one is still being displayed? Super annoying if the following messages get ignored by the watch.

  • I haven't swam for a few weeks due to the lockdown but I did yesterday before the update. While it's hard to be certain, and it is only one comparison, you could imagine the track is cleaner today:

But it's been pretty consistent as this one from December shows (and I am not cherry picking :-) )

  • I'm not sure, but I'm guessing it happens both ways. The problem is that the altimeter auto-calibration function requires BT connectivity with your phone, and in battery saver mode there's no BT connectivity. The only way to make it work is by modifying the Battery Saver settings so that it keeps BT turned on - but then, that kind of defeats the whole point of using Battery Saver.

I am using battery saver during night with keeping BT parameter off into battery saver option so if you explain me how to test it I will do it for you.

At the moment I am at home because the Covid-19 and the altitude data changed from 166 to 168 so it is always the same also from evening to the following morning.

So, I thought I would hate the new UI for phone notifications, and I put off doing the recent beta updates because of the feedback people were posting about it, but now that I've tried it, I gotta say... I love it!!

I agree! Now I can read some e-mail that was not possible to read before because was cutted also after click on start button.

I founded only some bugs in 8.78 still present in 9.00  about receiving calls and missing calls.

During receiving call is not possible to send the messages (SMS) like "I'm in a business meeting" or "I'm running" because is not possible to do it. They could ask when you refuse the call if you want to send a message.

During receiving calls if you click on back button, reopen the notification and click start appear the chose to send this kind of messages like if you do the opening a missing call notification but when you click on "messages" the notification close and is not possible to send the message Disappointed

  • I am using battery saver during night with keeping BT parameter off

Me too but I'm not seeing any significant deviations in the elevation though. It probably depends on how good the connection is in the morning when coming out of Battery Saver mode. If you have problems then it would obviously affect the calibration in the morning.

  • I am curious to understand better. How it know the position through Bluetooth? Using smartphone known position through wi-fi and 4G cells? Because calibration need position.

P.S.: Could you check the bugs about calls notification I spoke about above with C.sco, please?

Slight UI glitch reported to the Beta team. On calibrating the altimeter, it goes back to the calibration screen instead of the Altimeter screen.

  • Hi,

installed all files. After installing the update I put the watch to GE and directly after synchronizing the Sensor HUB Update to 5.06 is put into the RemoteSW folder !

    F6x pro Solar

When I run with the up button through the widget loop and press when reaching the hydration widget I get the iq symbol. It is always when I run through the widget overwiew with the up button. Not always, but often.

Wrist HR is ongoing much too high at about 10 to 30 beats when sitting in front of pc working.  Really crap in comparison with my F5plus sold 14 days ago. Wrist HR ist crap in resting mode.

    Regards Richard.

  • Today I installed the beta. I'm a little bit confused about the notifications. If I received two mails and go into the widget, I can see the two. But I'm not able to select one of these to see the content. If I press start I see a popup with block app, or mark as read. No chance to see more of the mails.

Did I do something wrong? On other garmin device's this works. If you habe more than one mail message, you can select one and see the content
