MTB Dynamics. FLOW, GRIT. But where is Jump?

I would love to see this, just did two rides with 9.0 and grit and flow shows data but jumps say zero. 

Grit is a metric of a trail and does not depend on the device.

Flow is a metric depending on maintained speed and therefore GPS, so the ar movement while wearing the watch doesn´t matter.

Jump is a metric depending on the acceleration, so any arm movement would produce a ton of false results.

That's the explanation why grit+flow works and are implemented and jump not (and probably never will be)

I guess jump metrics are only fo Edge, but yes, it makes totally sense to give an option to Fenix users to have Jumps on/off, as one knows that riding with watch being on the wrist would skew the jump metrics, while once watch mounted on handlebar should work ok...

I totally agree. I am also missing this feature. I do not want to buy an expensive garmin edge 1030+ to have this feature, if I own a fenix 6x.

Your wrist is fixed to the bars while riding all the jarring in the bars is right there in your wrist too.  It's a perfectly valid detection site.  If Garmin can't tell that your hand came off the bars when you are stopped taking a break that is an algorithm problem.  And if a rider wants to spoof jumping by waiving their hand around while moving, who cares?  As for which is better I would say bar mount may be  slightly more precise until the rider starts doing bar related tricks on the jump at which point wrist based will be more precise.  Regardless if I am out on a jump trail I will never have a bar mounted garmin on the bike.  Too much liability for coming un clipped(which I have had happen) or for getting destroyed in a wreck (which I have seen happen).  Wrist, pocket or nothing.  

Does the HRM strap paired with a Fenix watch unlock jump dynamics like it unlocks certain running dynamics?  If not are there any other standalone sensors that can be added to do this and pair with a wearable?
