My Pool Is 11.5 meters long...

Lap swimming won't work in pools shorter than the minimal allowable size.

I think only Apple Watch goes to smaller pool sizes. The limit USED to be 17m on Garmin watches but they managed to reduce it to 14m. 

I would like them to get down to 11-12m as well as most hotel pools are in that range.

Yes I'm for real. You don't have to be an ass about it. It's actually a big pool for a house pool here in AZ. And I'm new to swimming so it's hard for me. *shakes head* such a jerk.

It is disappointing, I was looking to buy a fenix 6 but will have to wait for new Apple watch due to inability of Garmin to track in a 10 yard pool. Love everything about the fenix line, health tracking etc, except this, which I really want.  Garmin, please adjust or I’ll be going Apple.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that it was an accuracy issue where with smaller pools the watch had a hard time accurately  determining that the swimmer reached the end of the length.  I guess I can imagine that it could be an issue for a good swimmer who can cover a long distance with few strokes.  Personally, I have an 11 meter pool at a hotel that I frequent and the watch has never had an issue detecting me switching directions but I am not a great swimmer.

Since the watch cannot be programmed for such a small pool, I just set it to 22 meters (so I can easily do the math in my head for what distance I have actually gone while looking at the watch) and afterwards I use this website to edit the fit file to correct it:

Of course, you have to decline the records and things like that on the watch, but it’s the best workaround I have found.  That site is also helpful for fixing laps when the watch doesn’t correctly detect the end of a length.

I want to know how on earth you can expect to get a swim workout in such a short pool. Half a dozen strokes each length, less if you kick off the ends. Small pools like those in hotels were never designed for lap swimming but for splashing around and cooling off.

Agree, my pool is just under the limit for Venu 3. Fitbit would allow for shorter pools.
