Missing stock watch face on Fenix 6

Hi All,

I recently got a Fenix 6, upgrading from a refurbished 5X.

When I got the watch, it had a pretty cool looking watchface on it with data all around the edge of the dial.

I almost immediately plugged it into my computer to upgrade the firmware, and I also went through the procedure for copying various files from the old watch to the new (in the New Files folder) to carry over as many of my settings as possble.

After that, the original watch face cannot be found. And it seems I have the set of stock faces from the 5X.

Did I do this to myself with the copying of files? Or is it due to the FW upgrade?

Is there a way to get the stock faces for the 6 back?

It's never a good idea copying stuff from an oder model watch to a newer model so it is quite possible that you've corrupted something. Best thing to do is to go to Settings, System, Reset and choose …

It's never a good idea copying stuff from an oder model watch to a newer model so it is quite possible that you've corrupted something. Best thing to do is to go to Settings, System, Reset and choose 'Delete Data and Reset Settings' then set up the watch from new. Then sync to Garmin Express.

Sorry don't know how to format a link, but it is about transferring settings from one watch to another.

Granted it's not explicit but that is only between watches of the same type.

Once you've set up your new F6 you can make a backup of the relevant settings that you can use for the future should you have to reset your watch.

It is true that I got that link when asking about going from one 5x to another. I have sine done the factory reset and revived it back to a usable state. I will now backup my settinga in case I need to restore them to the same watch in the future.
