Fenix 6X Sapphire and TechnoGym MyRun connection

Hi all

I've had my Fenix 6X for 1 week now and absolutely love it - been through Apple and Samsung watches and nothing comes close to Garmin in my opinion as far as activity and battery capabilities.

Well to my question. I have a TechnoGym MyRun Threadmill and the watch connects fine to the Threadmill and data on distance and speed are activated. Never the less the watch still uses the internal measurements from "Threadmill Run" instead of those from the MyRun.

My neighbour has the same setup and for him it works fine, so I'm a bit baffled on what might be wrong in my setup. The only difference I know of, is that I run a workout in a Garmin Coach Program and he does "Free" Threadmill Runs. Can that be the reason? (haven't got around to try af freerun myself yet :-))

Latest MyRun Firmware installed and Fenix 6X has the 8.1 FW installed.

Update: Tried a free run - same issue.

I don't have a TechnoGym MyRun (https://www.technogym.com/gb/treadmill-myrun.html wow, they are expensive!) but given they can connect to Zwift, I can only assume they transmit pace and distance using the bluetooth foot pod profile. So I think you may be able to pair with the MyRun by going on the Fenix to Menu>Sensors & Accessories>Add New>Foot Pod. The Fenix will normally search for ANT+ first then Bluetooth, so you may need to try a couple of times (obviously make sure the dreadmill is turned on and moving, so there's a signal to pair with).

If the above works, please do report back here; I'm genuinely interested to know if the latest TechnoGym dreadmills have this capability.

Having read your original post, it is possible you have already achieved this pairing. If so, there's three things to note:

Make sure the foot pod auto calibration is off (shouldn't do anything anyway as you're indoors), but that could mess things up.
Make sure in the foot pod sensor settings (on the Fenix) is set for Distance>Always and Speed>Always.
For workouts, Garmin (in their infinite wisdom) report lap pace for any workout 'steps' and not live/instant pace (so the average pace over the current workout step). Whereas, if you are not using a workout, then the pace data field is the live pace from the speed/distance source. I hope that makes sense.

Make sure you are doing the "Treadmill" activity and not "Run" activity since Footpod distance defaults to "Indoors". Or, you could change those settings for the MyRun footpod sensor to "Always" as another posted mentioned.

Im struggeling a bit with the same.
I do have the MyRun and a Fenix 5X, where I am not able to connect to it as a footpod. It doesn't find it as a sensor at all.
But when trying to connect to the MyRun using a Vivoactive 4 it finds the MyRun immididatly.
Anyone that know what I should look for?
Have tried the suggestions in this tread and a few others.

I'm reasonably sure thats not a feature the 5x can do. I think the ability to be a footpod to treadmills is for newer watchs only

Not sure if I understand?

Trying to connect to the treadmill as a footpod sensor on my watch.

The watch should be capable to connect to both ant+ and Bluetooth smart footpod. The treadmill should be Bluetooth smart.

But it is something that doesnt work, so I cannot connect to the treadmill as a sensor from the 5x.

To state the obvious, the myrun only supports one Bluetooth connection at a time. Make sure your tablet isn't connected.
