Is there every going to be support for iFit workouts and e-bikes?

I have been using a Proform TDF Cycle to exercise and cannot get that information into my Fenix as an indoor cycle ride so have to use Cardio or Indoor Bike and then manually change information after the ride because nothing records except for the HR. As for e-bike, I have an Orbea that connects to my phone to record the metrics but my Fenix does not find it when I try to connect so I end up with metrics from watch for cycling using GPS and the metrics from Orbea ebikemotion app. I import the data into Garmin Connect. I use a combination of both of the data collections and or delete one of them after the ride. I would love to be able to collect some of the metrics collected in the ebikemotion into the Fenix 6 cycling app. The Garmin Connect app on the phone shares data between Strava but not ebikemotion or iFit Coach so wanted to see if that is going to be possible in the future so that the data collected there can be shared with Garmin Connect. That would be able to combine and provide accurate data and reduce manual entries.

  • For the Proform TDF cycle, it looks like someone created an application that can act as a bridge to get the power and other metrics out of the cycle and broadcast it ANT+.  I don't have this bike and know nothing about it other than what I read on the blog, but this might be a solution for you:

  • Thank you for the information but it seems that the bike that it supports is an older version of the bike according to the website but I will reach out and see if that is planned for future updates. Thank you again.

  • I appreciate my reply is a bit late to your original post, but hope it helps as I'm a new user.

I'm using a Freemotion Coachbike and Fenix 6 - pretty much in the same position you're in at the moment.

My current workaround for this is to broadcast my heart rate to the Coachbike which then uploads the work out to iFit automatically.  Wihin iFit I then export the workout as a TCX file, then use GoldenCheetah to change it to a fit extension and then import that into Garmin Connect.

It's very inelegant but it works.
