Hi

For the past 24 hours watch does not keep the connection to the phone, i turned off BT alerts cause they drive me mad.

Watch doesn't stay connected long enough to sync or to be able to change settings on watch faces.

Everything is up to date, i even checked in garmin express.

There was no significant update to watch firmware, phone os or connect moblie past 2 days.

Anyone has a clue what happened or what to do to fix it?

Best regards

ak

BT problem continues, after few wipes I spent 30 minutes trying to pair the phone, connection wasn't stable enough to finish pairing. Then I went for 8.76 beta, nothing changed. From what I see here waiting for fix can take months, I'm sending the watch back to the distributor marked as broken. I feel like I made 900 euro mistake, time to switch watch maker, I've been loyal customer, had a few forerunners, couple of vivofits, vivosport, Garmin index, fenix 3hr now 6X, and every product somewhere along the line was broken by firmware update.

Simple fix would be to allow those who have a problem to roll back to firmware version that actually works, but right now there is no fix, there is no rollback, there is no solid info about solving the problem. And as a Garmin user I feel like I can't win (fix), I can't draw (rollback) and I can't even quit the game, and my worst enemy sits right inside the system settings under Automatic update ON.

    Time to move on.

  • Hard to determine exactly what you did, but if you tried to pair the phone instead of pairing Garmin Connect Mobile, you were doing it wrong.

But since you've already given up...

Problem is i didn't do anything. I have the watch since september 2019, i used it and i'm sure as hell can configure garmin peripheral after 10 years of using their products. First i had to work through connectivity problems since i'm using Huawei phone, that stopped being an issue by the end of 2019. Watch was working fine for 3 months and then the 8.10 hit and it started eating the battery in 4 days with constant connect/disconnect notifications, restarting watch and the phone didn't work, removing the watch from garmin connect didn't work either, wiping the watch worked for 2 days first time, then for 2 hours next time and on 4th try connectivity problem started during pairing in garmin connect. It took half an hour to even find window of connectivity long enough to end pairing and after that watch was supposed to syncronize with phone and it wasn't able to.

Your "answer" can't be qualified as a solution, it's just a random thought, so don't mark it as one.

  • If you're using Android on your phone, try installing Reconnect Garmin Watch from the Google Play store.

Follow the instructions carefully to set it up.

  • I have that same issuue with Bluetooth Connect 6x pro
