Fenix 6 Pro refuses to install ANT/BLE/BT update

It downloads the file allright, I ask the watch to start the update, it restarts and says that the bluetooth software has been updated, yet the version remains stuck at 4.30

I retried a couple of times, also through Garmin Express, but to no avail. I even tried to update it to the 8.73 beta update including all the sensor/GPS/BL updates, which ALL update EXCEPT the ANT/BLE-BT part .... still stuck at 4.30! What can I try else in order to get this part to update as well? Many thanks!

(I particularely want to have the latest bluetooth software as I hope this will resolve (some of) the poor connectivity to my iPhone)

where are you putting the update files on your watch?

In the RemoteSW folder (for the bluetooth, sensor etc update files)

in the watch > system > software update it keeps seeing there is an update available, even after installing it and automatically restarting. But its seems not to install. The issue has started with the 8.10 update

Do you have an APAC device?

Edit. actually scratch that you must have a ROW version if you can update to 8.73. I'm not sure what the reason could be

solved it - I think: I recopied the update file for bluetooth in the RemoteSW folder but renamed it to someting random (test) and this forced it to install to 5.04!

Glad you got it sorted. I wonder if the GarminDevice.xml file had somehow got corrupted & the watch thought the update file with the original filename had already been installed.

if t happens again try deleting the GarminDevice.xml & maybe the Device.fit files from the root of the watch & rebooting, which will recreate the files. Then try the update process again
