Garmin Connect & New Huawei Devices without Google Mobile Services

I have contacted Garmin & Huawei without any results.

Garmin does not have in schedule to publish its apps in App Gallery in the near future and Huawei is not aware about when the apps will be available.

After a lot of effort I managed to make Garmin Connect & IQ play with my Huawei Mate 30 Pro.

If anyone faces the same problem let me know.

Sure, you need to go to apk mirror and get the apk files of Garmin connect. Then install apk mirror installer and install it from there. Its the only solution to make it work without Google mobile services. If you need assistance when you get p40, let me know

I take it strava will be the same?

Also did you manage to get your banking app downloaded, I can't find anything saying if the rbs app works..

But will everything work? Like smart notifications and stuff, it might still rely on some googles services?

I would assume if the connect app is working properly then you will get all the extras for the watch..

The only thing that is not working is when you want to see a map with your activity in garmin connect app. They use Google maps

Hi Dirk, what do you mean live tracking? If you mean displaying live info like heart rate and other stats, yes it is working fine. The only think that does not display is maps. Eg see a run in the map.

They use Google maps that's why they cannot be displayed.
