Fenix 6s - Spotify "not able to sign in"

I am trying to connect to Spotify with my new Fenix 6s.

During the final sign in step on Garmin Connect (on my iPhone) I get the following message:

"There was a problem getting you sign in"

I tried to:

  • Reboot the watch
  • Re-install the Spotify App

Nothing works. Anyone had similar issues and could solve it?

From the comments in ConnectIQ I see many people seem to have the same issue.

  • There are known issues with the newest Connect APP just released and our engineers are working to resolve it.

    Please try the following to see if you can work around the Spotify sign-in issue:

    - When going to sign-in, tap 'Cancel' and then open the Spotify Music APP on your Fenix 6S watch. After that you should be able to access your music through your watch properly. (This step should resolve your sign-in issue.)

    - If that does not work, force close the APP on your smartphone during the sign-in phase and try again.
