Virtual Ride for Zwift cycling?

Are there any plans for something similar to Virtual Run but for cycling on Zwift? Virtul Run broadcasts HR data over bluetooth to the device that runs Zwift.

I just had my second Zwift ride today and was able to connect my F6 to Apple TV by starting a Virtual Run, but then discarded it at the end. While it works, it would be awesome if there was a Virtual Ride option so that we have all of the data that gets calculated by Garmin.

Apple TV/iOS/Android versions don't support ANT+. And the connectivity is already there for Virtual Runs so it shouldn't be a huge exercise to enable this for rides as well. Let's see... I'm glad that…

Bike indoor?!? I'm using it since I have the watch.

I'm not familiar with Virtual Run - so how does it differ from BikeIndoor? Or which features Virtual Run offers that BikeIndoor doesn't?

That’s only if you have paired your Fenix 6 with another Garmin device, an Edge for example. It also broadcasts only on ANT+

It also records the same data as a treadmill run if you choose to save it

I agree, it would be amazing to have Virtual Ride directly without having to use the Virtual Run hack!

I don't understand how this is different than Indoor Bike. I have an external HRM that I connect to my F6, my Bike Erg, and Zwift. Then I connect my PWR and SPD/CAD from BikeErg to my F6 and also to Zwift.

What would a different Virtual Ride mode get me over this or simplify?

You currently can't broadcast OHR sensor to Zwift via Bluetooth, only in Virtual Run. So you can now only start Virtual Run activity, connect OHR via BT and then toss the activity in your watch once you finish.

Oh, so this is only a relevant concern if you're using the OHR on the F6, right?

Buy an external HRM with BLE and it solves everything, doesn't it? Or just connect via ANT to Zwift...
