Varia Vision Connect/Disconnect Loop after 6x Sapphire update 8.10

My Varia Vision was working great before the 8.10 update, now every few seconds about 5-7 seconds my Varia Vision disconnects from my 6x Sapphire then reconnects 2-3 seconds later just to continue in that loop

I don't want to incorporate a Garmin Edge Device to my setup just so that i can use my Varia Vision - Garmin please test this is fix the issue, both my Fenix 6x Sapphire and my Varia Vision importantly are running the latest firmware and software update

    I’m having the same issue and i take it the problems started from the software update on my Fenix 6. Not sure there is anything we can do except wait for the next software update to fix this issue. I can connect the watch to the Varia but out on the road I get nothing to indicate cars approaching. Varia still works fine with my Edge 1000 when out on the bike.

    I really think that is important the Garmin SW Quality team check everthing with the integration with Garmin Varia x Fenix 6.

    - Connection / disconnection issues

    - Segments information (during segments) not appear anymore.

    - When data page show more than 4 field in watch, Garmin varia didn't show the fields correctly.

    - Sometime the information of a field in watch is different in Varia Vision.

    I did notice that as well, and 100% valid however the disconnection loop issue is just not acceptable from Garmin - And Garmin must not now use the "discontinued product" line with the Varia Vision, I also use the Vision for Hiking and expeditions where having hands completely free and having data in my field of view are not only a safety benefit but also I can monitor altitude /heart rate / climb rate for altitude acclimatization...hope this gets attention soon

    Strange thing happened. My Varia only works ok my Fenix 6 when I am in a bike workout. If I select running it doesn’t work. I need to use it in running mode as I have the Varia attaches to a FlipBelt I use when I run. 
    how do I get around this issue. I don’t really want to select bike and then run otherwise it looks weird on Garmin Connect and Strava.

    Are you talking about the Varia Radar or Varia Vision Insight Display? your problem - and i might be wrong, sounds like a Varia Radar issue?

    Sorry. Yes I am talking about the Varia Radar. I have both new and old models and only work when I select bike workout on my Fenix 6. Very strange doesn’t work  when I select a running workout.

    Okay well that sucks to know as well my main is the Varia Vision - however since you've shared your info that does make me worry about the testing, as i was in the process of buying the new Varia Radar TRL510 and wanted to use it for road running too in conjunction with my Fenix 6X and Varia Vison so this doesn't bode well for either...

    I'm trying to avoid having to add a Edge into my equipment as i don;t really want to for cycling - I realise i'm an outlier maybe in that regard from a  cycling perspective

    It’s not the best scenario but I’m okay with it for now. I’m going to try it out on a run tomorrow morning. It’s going to be dark for 1 hour of the run and my main concern is I let people possible cyclists know I’m there but more importantly I know if a car is approaching. It will be interesting after I upload run to Garmin and Strava
