Since Firmware update 6.10 my Fenix 6 Pro can' t connect to my Polar heart rate sensor H7. Before the update the connection worked perfect.

I changed the battery of the H7.

My Smartphone an my indoor rowing machine can connect with the H7. The heart rate sensor is working.

Does anyone know this problem?

Thanks for your support

  • You can only pair the H7 to one device at a time - only the H10 has multiple BTLE (and ANT+, and GymLink) connections.

Ensure you've unpaired your H7 from all your other devices. Use the Polar Beat app to check the H7's settings - something might need to be tweaked there. Connecting it to the app should also check for firmware updates.

  • I'm pretty sure you can have more than one device paired, but only one of them connected at a time. You could try resetting the H7 and start pairing again. Video of reset procedure here....

But you can also simply reverse the battery for a few seconds to short out the contacts.

P.S. If any device is holding the connection open - phone, rowing machine, other watch, then the Garmin cannot connect until the other connection is terminated. Also, just guessing here, but maybe there is a timeout period of a few minutes after a connection is broken before a new one can be made.

Thank you two! Its working now.

First I changed the battery -> no connection to the Fenix 6

Then I installed the Polar Beat App on my smartphone -> Connection from App to Watch is working but not to Fenix 6 (not parallel)

After that I read CJOttawa comment. I unpaired the H7 from the App. Then the Fenix 6 found the Sensor at once :-)

I think it's like eezytiger wrotes, the H7 can have more than one device paired, but not at the same time. The connection with my indoor rowing machine still working, when I connect the h7 with it. But not at the same time with the Fenix 6.

Im not sure what the Problem was. Perhaps something with still open connections or so..

Thank you very much for your Help!

The issue is that it's a Bluetooth sensor and therefore can only have one connection channel at any one time. It's not a problem in that sense more a limitation of the technology.

The Polar H10 has Bluetooth and ANT+ so you can connect as many as you want via the ANT+ and still have a Bluetooth connection available if needed. The Garmin Dual us similar in operation.

I am trying, but isn’t work yet. I have a fênix 6s pro and it didn’t recognize my polar h7. I’ve changed the battery, disconnect the h7 from polar Bear but my garmin don’t recognized the H7. Which more should I do?
