Android reboot - bt connection lost

HI,

I know there are several threads on Bluetooth already.

However, I previously never had an issue. Recently (it might have coincided with the latest GPS Software update) my F6xSolar does not reconnect to the phone after the phone reboots. I always turn of the phone during the night.

Since about 2-3 weeks now I need to deactivate Bluetooth on the phone, enter GC then reactivate Bluetooth and wait for 20sec. Then the watch connects.

If I do not do this, the watch never will connect during the day.

There was no change on my phone, no software update, GPS is on.

I do not know what the reason could be. GPS Software update is unclear to me, as I did not consider this to impact bt stability.

Does anyone know what the cause could be and what solution I could attempt?

Try the excellent android app Garmin Reconnect. It has solved any BT issues I have had with Garmin watches.

My bt between my old Galaxy S7 and 5x/6x rock solid. Like 2 weeks ago, I was trying to get my Jbl Ear buds to work, then I lost the connection between phone and watch.

Tried everything except factory reset of watch. Restarted watch, phone, removed watch from GCapp, reinstalled app, started pairing in app, then in watch. Could not repair in GC app, always timeout.

The only way now is to pair in phone bt pairing, but I thought that should not work. Strange.

Not restarted phone after that...

Been on latest beta, now on v8.00rc.

I am actually on version 6.10 software and GPS 2.9.

To clarify further. I have a connection and the phone is not rebooted, I can loose connection due to too high distance to the phone and reconnect w/o any issue once I am close enough.

Soundcoure Speaker work absolute flawless with the watch and is not related to my issue to my experience.

latest update to version 8.10 resolved this issue again.

All good now!
