How do I get it to show distance?
How do I get it to show distance?
I noticed the same in the History view. Despite the fact that in Connect I manually add all the distances for my indoor activities, they don’t show back onto the watch, which is quite annoying and a bug…
Need speed sensor.
Well, you haven't travelled any distance - you are still in exactly the same spot in your pain cave.

It's weird because you can add distance manually in phone app but clock still shows 0km.
If you are using a smart trainer you might be able to pair it to your watch as a speed sensor. Otherwise you'd need a separate speed sensor like the Garmin one that straps to the wheel hub.

Because of that, Totals from History always say 0.00 Km each month even though I train a lot during winter on my indoor bike.
And no, buying any bike sensor (which I can’t install on my cheap indoor bike anyway) is not a solution if the user manually provides the data the watch would have calculated automatically.
Don’t think it’s the meaning to sync from GC to the watch. I do the same as you, biking on Zwift, and when finith i put the distance manually into GC, but like you it never show up with other than zero in the widget. The same with sleep, this morning sleep time was way off, i adjusted in GC, but the widget in the watch still show the same wrong time after sync.
Now, 12 hour after i edited the sleep time in GC it showed up correct in the watch widget. This is first time i noticed this, maybe not so strange, wonder why i took such a long time.
My Zwift ride shows up on the Fenix after syncing. When I was biking I used the Edge 1030 to record the ride as well. This one is synced to Connect but not to the phone and doesn't add to the intensity minutes. And yes, yesterday I decided to have the Fenix off when biking. But now also the heartrate during the ride doesn't show up in the daily heartrate-graph, whereas heartrate was recorded by Zwift and Edge.
Well, the sync process per se is bidirectional. It’s up to Garmin to decide what goes where and how to combine data between the watch and Connect. A lot of parameters do sync back to the watch.
Missing this particular sync from connect to the watch (manually edited distance) is a bug to me.
It's indeed aggrevating. Having quite expensive Garminstuff and not working the way I would like it, maybe it's as designed, but I don't get it. Zwift-ride have to be tracked through 3 devices (Zwift, Edge and Fenix) to show up as intensitiy minutes). That doesn't make sense to me. The software should be smart enough to detect the heartrate from the Zwift- or Edge-activity and add it to the daily heartrate graph.
BTW. The time I did it this way I had Fenix to sportsprofile 'Power'. Not indoor cycling with the speed- and cadence connected as they area already connected to the Ege, but I might do that next time and see what happens. Zwift and Edge-distance differ a lot.
To track your intensy minutes you have to use your fenix, edge don’t support them. Garmin obviousely think that it’s not interessting for cyclists, have had some discussion’s with them about that.
