Disturbing vibrations and restarts during charging of Fenix 6 X Pro Solar

Hi,

when I'm charging my Fenix 6X Pro Solar it runs into a very disturbing loop of the following screens:

The Garmin Logo (Triangle)
Garmin Loading Maps (with a progress bar)
WLAN Netzwerk wird gesucht (my language is German)
Perhaps another Screen with Music synchronization

Then this cycle starts again. The disturbing part ist, that on every screen switch (the watch vibrates that ony
can hear it in the complete house, depending on the underground). My impression is that this happens every
2-5 minutes and it takes 2 or more hours (so far I have not measured the time).

This means loading over night is not possible (at least when someone tries to sleep).

Questions:

Does anybody has the same problem?
Does the charging include an update of the maps or the software?
Why are there so many restarts necessary (it's worse than Windows at it's best days)?
Is it possible to switch of the vibration during the charging?

3. and 4. are normal while charging the device via the wall charger. 1. and 2. and the vibration I never have had on my F 6xPS while using the wall charger. Seems to be an issue on your device. I would call the Garmin Germany support, but perhaps someone has a better advice for you.

2. Not sure. But I did notice the display is different when connecting to USB power (the usual watch face then the boot loop as you described) comparing the Mac (charging screen with a pie chart showing the percentage of the battery remaining).

3. I'm guessing it's trying to get updates but couldn't?

4. No idea

My is a Fenix 6 Pro. When connected to a USE power source, it will try to sync music then reboot every 10-ish seconds. I did manage to solve the issue by update the Garmin Express and connecting the watch to Mac then sync. Then the watch seems charging OK without constantly rebooting itself.

Or a different lead, or at least check that the charging port and lead are clean and not tarnished, because it sounds like a repeated connect/disconnect cycle, possibly, which suggests a poor connection.

Thanks for all the replies. The last 2 times I used a Samsung USB Charging Adapter with the Garmin cable (I assume: eezytiger means with "lead" the cable).

Next time (in about 10 or 12 days) I will try another USB power source.

Yes, lead = cable. You could try USB from a PC or laptop if you don't have another charger handy. Or maybe a power bank.

Just for your information: The last time I used another USB power source and I had no problem with restarts or disturbing vibrations.
