The Fenix 6X will NOT be assigned a drive letter on Windows, it shows up (quite correctly) as an MTP device (which it is). Have you tried rebooting the Windows PC (which version of Windows are you using?). Have you tried another USB port and/or cable?

Garmin mode won’t work on Windows, only MTP mode works. If the other suggestions haven’t solved the issue, then you better contact GARMIN support...
