I was wearing my Fenix 6s to record laps in an indoor pool, and now the face has horizontal and vertical lines displaying and is acting ‘water damaged’. I’ve dried it off externally and turned it off. Any other tips? It should be able to handle this

Contact Garmin Support for a replacement.
Indeed, yours must have a defective seal somewhere. Shouldn't be a problem getting this resolved under warranty.
