Enable timed audio prompts with distance, cadence, speed etc?

Hi!

I recently bought a Garmin Fenix 6 Pro, my first wearable device. Up until now i've recorded my bike rides using the Wahoo app on my smartphone, since I'm using their cadence meter.

I am incredible happy about everything regarding this watch and i've wanted a fenix for some time now.

However, I cant seem to get my audio cues/prompts the way I want them and am looking for guidance.

I'm looking for a way for the watch to give me detailed information about my rides or runs every 5 minutes. This should include my current distance from start, average cadence, average speed/tempo and heart rate.

The only settings i've found are for high/low alerts, for either ONLY a ping every 5 minutes sayin "5 minutes" (or chosen interval), or ONLY the average or current speed at a chosen interval

So, is  there a way for me to get audio prompts containing multiple types of data during my rides?

Thanks!

David

  • Same issue here David. It seems very basic but I can't seem to get the Fenix 6 pro to announce how far I have run at the end of each kilometer. Does anyone know how ?

Turn Auto Lap on in the Run Settings. Assuming you have the autolap distance set to 1 km, it will announce each lap number eg. "Lap 7" will mean you have run 7km. You can also configure the autolap fields (maximum 2 fields) to include total distance if the laps are irregular.

Then make sure you have Lap Alert = On in the audio prompt settings.

There are also a number of possibilities within Activity Alerts for audio prompts, although I haven't experiemented with these directly myself.

  • Thanks for the fast reply !! I will try it and test and revert .
