Unfortunately not possible. The car uses a different profiles intended for handsfree management of a phone.
With my Fenix 3 i connected this way...
Take a Laptop and connect him to the cars wlan.
Than open Garmin desktop app on the laptop and connect the watch to the account. Thats it.
The watch only should know the cars waln as a known connection.
Good luck.
What's the reason for doing that? It won't bring music from the F6 to the car audio system.
You are able to sync your watch ;-) incl. Software-Update aso.
Who needs this? No one, but...
So again. I cannot transfer audio files in this way. Right?
No, you can't. It is different profiles.
Many thanks for the answer. Unfortunately, I had suspected something like that.
(resurrected thread)
The handsfree profile does not work, of course, but I am able to play music through my car radio using the media (A2DP) profile. It may be that some cars will only allow bluetooth pairing if both profiles can be activated.
I connected my Fenix 6X running 17.74 beta (older firmware probably works too) to my 2015 Subaru Outback Limited and the watch does pair to the car as a media device and I can play Amazon Music directly from the watch.
Yep.. I use my car, it comes up on the touch screen as "watch"... shows me my tracks too, and can control the music with the steering wheel control's... (no adapter used...
Just an ordinary Peugeot 208...
