GPS offset in challenging conditions

Guys,

Would like to share some obseravations with you and probably get some feedback from you. As already mentioned in other thread, to me GPS accuracy in open field is great. I have deviations when running around trees and in buildings. What I notice in this case is that almost always the track in such cases is deviating towards on the left side considering the direction of movement(I wear the watch on my left hand).So, when I do an up and down trough such path the two lines are meters apart (although I`m going trough single tracjk patch). Example below:

Is the watch behaving the same way for you?

Indeed, it requires more attempts to come up with conclusion. Please mind that I didn't change the wrist, but only the setting on the watch(from left to right). Also building is on my right hand side, so potentially I would get worse reception there(closer to the building). I'll keep you posted. If someone could do similar experiment would be interesting to see the result.

Same here on the Garmin Instinct, particularly when first starting. Despite waiting 2-3 minutes after GPS has got a signal for it to "soak", first quarter mile is offset to my left.

Whenever it's off it's nearly always offset left of my direction. Gonna try the watch back on the right hand.

I was using GPS+Glonass in the UK on my right and getting left offset particularly starting off first 5 mins, 10-20 meters offset repeatedly.

Gonna try right, I know heart rate works better on the dominant wrist anyway.

what did you have on your right and left side as coverage?

i live in uk i never get that off set

i went for a run tonight. clear sky. gps track very good within 3to5m throughout my run

Literally nothing.

So you use GPS+Glonass or GPS and Galileo.

I have been using GPS+ Glonass

yes i'm using gps+ glonass

your results are very poor. i never get that.

are your settings all correct?

if they are correct i would contact garmin if i was you.

Epo is current. I am. On the beta firmware. 6.91.
