Electric scooter activity?

Did some rounds yesterday with an electric scooter and to my (good) surprise, MoveIQ registered a "cycling" activity during that time.
However, there are no stats except start time and duration. No GPS map, elevation, speed, etc....

I can only see this info it in the HR widget in Connect. It doesn't appear as an activity for the day.

Is there a way for can this to be shown, or be added as a feature for Garmin watches?
E-bikes you do some pedalling along the way, but with electric scooters you just push off to start and then stand still while driving.

I also noticed my stress levels being displayed as high while driving the thing Slight smile
Strange...i didn't feel stressed though.

  • Actually, it would be more useful if it could be converted to an activity as, apart from the GPS track, most of the metrics are available in the daily tracking fit file for that period. At least for walk, for sure.

  • soon someone will demand a car driving activity...

Look in Garmin Connect. It's already there!

Nonsense. This is what you need:
    buy.garmin.com/.../608665

  • You can custom any activity and display the customs datafields you need.
Tracking and HR monitoring would be easy to set.
I don't understand where is the issue. You could track yourself while ironing or doing the dishes if needed.
Also with the expedition mode you can track long distance travelling.
    It's that easy.

  • if you are interestet in the distance (which is the only "useful" value i can see here) just create a new acitivity based on "other" or whatever and  choose the data fields you want to see. It can not detect anything else except for the distance, because you aren´t doing anything except of standing, so you do not need a specific mode with a specific algorithm or anything like that.

  • (on the watch itself) i created a custom activity, copied the bike profile, changed the name, switched to GPS+GALILEO and saved. I rode the scooter 3KM and gps route is excellent, so is speed (max speed), so accurate to 100% of the scooter's energy modes that limit speeds to 20 or 25 km/h.

All good except the Calories count LOL. Way inacurate, which is expected since watch thought i pedalled all the way.

So what settings should i use to record GPS route, speed, elevation and HR but NOT calories burned, etc...
I noticed my HR goes high and stress level goes over 90% when i ride the damn thing..strange.

And how i delete the custom E-BIKE activity from the watch? I can only edit it....
LE- nevermind figure it out, long press middle left while on the activity, then select "delete app".
Create activity but delete app...makes sense no?!

  • It's actually available in the app if you edit an activity manually
