Garmin please make Time Sync deactivate Power Saver mode before syncing - Time Sync fails across time zones if Power Saver active.

When arriving at an international airport for transit I want the watch to show the correct local time so I don’t miss my next plane.  Time Sync should do this but it does not if the watch happens to be in Power Saver mode because the time at the original departure point is between 2200 and 0600 (default times for power saver during sleep).

Doing a Time Sync does not wake the watch from power saver mode so Bluetooth is inactive and the watch will not sync with my phone (which does show the correct time at my transit airport).  Instead Time Sync shows ‘Syncing with GPS’ and quickly shows ‘Time Synced’ inside a green ring but the time shown is still the time of my original departure point.  I doubt that the watch can sync with GPS inside an airport terminal so it must happily sync with last known GPS location before it went into Power Saver mode – that of my departure point several time zones away.

Starting an activity wakes the watch from Power Saver mode during sleep and Time Sync should do the same so it could reliably do what it is supposed to do when I need it most – at busy airports in transit.

Thanks
