Fenix 6x Plus with Wahoo Kickr - no Speed, no Distance

Hi Folks,

I want to use my Fenix 6x Pro with my Wahoo Kickr. I connected the Fenix with the Kickr via ANT. Connection was easy.

So far so good. But during a workout my F6 only shows power. Speed and Distance stay empty.

Does anybody use this combination and knows how to get speed and distance reported on the Fenix?

Hi Flo,

i have the Kickr Snap and it works seamless with all of Data from the Kickr Snap (Speed, Distance and Power). I use the 5.75 Beta firmware on my 6x Pro Solar.

Thanks Christoph! Great to hear, that ist works :-) Do you connect Watch and Trainer via ANT or BT?

I have to check if the change log of the Beta-Version includes something in this direction.

I have to check if it ANT or BT - i dont know, i connect it some weeks before and use it since then, without any issues.

When I've connected any of my Fenix watches to the Wattbikes in the gym via ANT+, I've always had to pair the Wattbike as a power meter sensor and separately as a speed+cadence sensor. Maybe you're just missing that second step with your Wahoo Kickr?

Hi Crsipin, thanks a lot! Good idea but unfortunately I already tried that. When I search for Speed/Cadence Sensors the F6 does not show any results. The watch only finds the Kickr as "Power-Sensor" :-((( Also searching for "All Types of Sensors" leads only to one Result --> Kickr as Powermeter...

Also interesting: The F6 has many Sensor-Categories I can search for. Speed/Cadence, Power, external Heartrate, headphones, Running Sensors... But no category "Smart-Trainer" or something like that.

So, Wahoo Kicker is connected over ANT and called "Leistung". But i also use an additional cadence sensor from whaoo

Problem solved!!

Christoph, you are my hero! That was the crucial hint! I didn't mount the Wahoo cadence sensor because my Powermeter has a built in cadence sensor. I installed the Wahoo Cadence Sensor and suddenly the kickr appears with different Names in the Fenix. As Powermeter AND Cadence and Speedsensor. Connected them to the watch and voila, the F6 shows distance and speed :-) Thank you so much!!

I had the same problem, so I connected at Powermeter but my speed drops out many times but my Garmin 920xt mounted on the handlebars works fine, not sure why it keep dropping out.
