Fenix 6 pro heart rate monitor does not work

I got my fenix 6 pro two day before and everything was fine. In the first night it performed an update to 5.0. It worked all well until today 17:30.since then the heart rate sensor is dead. The green lights do not light up anymore, no heart rate is displayed. Not even if I start an activity. I tried to restart the watch several times. After the third restart the green lights flashed up shortly, responding with an HR and since then it has stayed dead again.

I have read dozens of posts from some month ago reporting such problems, They were mentioning software version 2.3 so I guess it should have been solved by now.

Any ideas? If not I will return it to the store tomorrow. Luckily I live in Germany where there are very good consumer protection laws.

I have the same issue. OHR stops and starts working at random. Local dealership could not replicate the issue. It worked fine for them :)

What did you do? How did you solve it?

I'd take it back to the store and exchange for a replacement. That behaviour suggests a faulty watch.

be sure wrist hr is turned on.

Check if you don't have power save mode enabled.

It is not enabled. The heart rate sensor stopped working at 17:30 without reason. Later I took a bike ride and after 3:13 mins on the bike it turned back on, since then it has worked. I think it's a hardware issue.

Is on all the time. Even tried to switch it off and on. It was dead from 17:30, after 22 I took a bike ride and after 3:13 mins it suddenly turned back on. I think it's a hardware issue.

Indeed, looks like it may be faulty. wait a few days before returning it. i got mine a few days ago and i realized that the lights were not blinking anymore. then they started back. it could have been the chest strap got connected. since then no issues.

I also thought about the chest strap, but when I noticed the hr monitor doesn't work anymore I deleted the connection between watch and chest strap but it didn't help. It only turned on again after 3'13" on the bike with a running activity

I'd check your power management modes, and also perhaps whether battery saver was enabled by your Do Not Disturb hours?

But Garmin are pretty good with their support - if the suggestions above don't work, contact Garmin Support directly.

It set to full power all the time and the heart rate sensor drops out randomly during day and night and also during running acitivty.
