What app are you using on your Fenix 6 pro in the fitness studio?

In the fitness studio I do different kind of activities on the machines to train my body. In addition I train my endurance on indoor bycicle and other machines like cross trainer.

At the end I'm interested that my heart rate is recorded.

What app are you using on your Fenix 6 pro in the fitness studio? How to you track your activity?

  • I just use the Cardio activity.

    For a while, I had tried making custom activities, or trying activities and apps from ConnectIQ, to try to keep track of each individual activity... but none worked as well as I hoped, and I decided I really didn't need my workout data to be that precise anyways. I'm never going to go back and look at how many pushups I did, or how many rows I did, etc. All I care about is that my HR gets recorded, and my calories, training load, aerobic/anearobic load, etc, get updated correctly. And for that, the Cardio activity works just fine.

    It's too hard to keep track of individual activities when you can't always do every activity in the same order every time. Sometimes all the bikes are being used. Maybe your knee hurts that day so you want to skip the deadlifts you usually do, and do pushups instead. It's a pain to try to track that stuff individually, even if you have an app/activity that's designed for it. It's better, in my opinion, to just start the one activity, do all the workouts you want to do whenever you want to do them, and stop the activity at the end.

  • Here's how I configured my Cardio activity, if you're curious. I only have this one datascreen (plus a second datascreen that's just the Clock).

    I find that it does a pretty good job of displaying the relevant info without any fluff.

    As you write, I also like to track my heart rate and I only want to do 2 actions on my watch, start the activity and stop it, nothing else.
