Do you have connection to your iPhone with your watch? Do you have any other BT sensors connected to your watch? In Settings, System. About, what version of the ANT/BLE/BT hub do you have?
Go to Bluetooth settings on your iPhone and make sure they are not connected there, if they are disconnect. Yes, I know you shouldn't have to do this.
Go to Music on the watch and check you don't have the headphones connected there. If you do disconnect.
Restart the watch.
With the AirPods in the case, press and hold the Bluetooth connect button put them in pairing mode.
On the watch select Add New.
When connected, remove from the case and listen to Music.
If that doesn't work you might need to speak to Garmin Support.
Yes, it took a day to work it out. Make sure iPods are not connected to your phone. Then pair iPods with watch by pressed button at back of case, leave pods in case. It should connect then.
