Alt time zone widget / clock app not showing the correct time zone time

Hello,

I installed the alt time zone widget and the clock app, on both is possible to set up to 4 different time zones that show the respective time.

It was working fine until few weeks ago, then (I reckon since the last firmware update) the 4 different zones show the same time (Which in my case is UTC time).

I tried to remove the app/widget, reinstalled it, switched off and on the watch again, but nothing happened...

Anyone else have the same bug or has a solution?

From the CIQ store? If so you need to contact the developer of the widget

It’s an original Garmin app/widget ...not downloaded. It comes with the watch (fenix 6 shappire)

Apologies sounded like you’d added a 3rd party widget. Do you have any CIQ items loaded. I’ve just checked mine and it’s fine. Synch first then try a hard reset by pressing and holding top left until it shuts down. Then restart.

It’s all back to normal...strangely. Have done this multiple times and didn’t work before, anyway. That’s what I did: I removed the alt time widget and uninstalled the clock app. I reinstalled the clock app from Garmin connect and re-add the alt time widget and all the times are now correctly sync. Very strange as I have done exactly the same thing before and didn’t work. Don’t know what was different this time...

I'm having the exact same issue. With the garmin Alt Time Zone Widget. I had three different other time zone (to know what time my colleagues in different countries have). And the time in the widget it always reporting UTC+0. even if I change one of them to any location, and the location give the UTC offset. soon as I accept that "change".

I've resync the time. I sync'd with Garmin Connect.

Trying the hard power reset now (interesting some message about garmin assistance was shown prior to powering down, never seen that before)

but I'll be darn'd the hard reset help. Thats just .... weird

jetguat What software version do you have? Mine was working on 5.75 and I've just set them again on 5.76. What countries are you trying to set in the widget?

official v5.0, I dont go for the betas
I'm setting up for Norway, Greece (actually they end up being the same right now) and India. Those are my three alternate time zones

The message about Garmin Assistance always comes up as you hard reset. Think of the hard reset as like rebooting Windows! Cures a multitude of evils without anyone really knowing why :-)
