HR readings uphill vs downhill with running poles

Hello fellas,

Reporting some strange behaviour of my unit and hopefully will get some advise from you.

I have F6X Pro for almost 2 months and do often uphill/donwhill hike/run in the mountain close by. HR readings (from build in HR sensor) on the way up are rediculous - always lower than 100 BPM, while I`m pushing pretty hard and from experiece (F3 with HR strap) I could tell it should be around 150-160 BPM (and often higher). The strange thing is when I turn back and run on the way down HR readings look decent and close to reality.

Between up and down I usually pause for a few minutes. I`m using running poles on the way up, going down I hold them in one hand. I don`t adjust watch strap and have it tight under wrist bone well away from where wrist bends. I`m using FW 5.00.

Anyone with similar experience/solution? Could it be because of the poles? When I do hill reps on these hills without the poles HR readings looke more accurate.

For reference I`m applying some workouts:

Uphil/Downhill with poles(HR weird): https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/4395157819

Hill/reps w/out poles (HR looks ok): https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/4333542519

Best Regards,

A
