I´ve done several successful calibrations in open spaces, always with the same results; compass is reversed i.e. 180 degrees off.

Try re calibrating it outside away from any buildings or structures.
Also, the diagram to calibrate might not be clear, but it's a figure 8, where the watch is moved 360 degrees in each loop and gets flipped over in the middle of the 8.
Have not seen that. Have seen toilets that flush completely backwards from my part of the world. Freaky....;-)
You mean from down to up? That is freaky, indeed even scary I would say.
I've done that already in different locations away from all buildings and structures......
...well, the figure eight,-speed etc. doesn't seem to be a problem as the watch quickly indicates a successful calibration by OK message.
Any resolution on this? My Instinct is doing the exact same thing. South is North.
If calibrating the compass doesn't resolve this, it's time to contact Garmin Support.
After inspection by a Garmin dealer they replaced my watch. They hadn't seen it before and suspected manufacturing error.
