Heart rate gauge red arrow?

Did a run today, ran a course that I saved from my last run. I have not changed any data fields. The first field which shows heart rate in different colors and zones have a black indicator. But today there was also a red triangle/arrow going up and down on the pulse scale. What does this indicate?

There was also a red triangle on the edge of the screen, but that was something with navigation I think, perhaps pointing north?

It isn't for heart rate - the red triangle is called the "heading bug", or something like that. It indicates the direction you should travel to stay on the course you have loaded. It only…

It isn't for heart rate - the red triangle is called the "heading bug", or something like that. It indicates the direction you should travel to stay on the course you have loaded. It only appears when there is a course loaded in the activity you're doing. You can turn it off in the menu if you decide you don't like it.

Edit: I just noticed that you mention the triangle appears to be in addition to the "heading bug". In that case, I'm not really sure - I thoguht the HR gauge datafield always had a tringle on it to iondicate which zone you're in. Maybe that's what you're referring to?

Thanks. I’ll have a closer look next time, “heading but” sounds like a good guess. The other triangle I think might be more of a compass always pointing north?

I did a slow run a few days back and followed a course and think your seeing the same thing I did. After noticing the red triangle I came to the conclusion it was pointing to where the next point on the course is at... look like this? Oh, a FR945, not a F6.
