Golf App Issues

I upgraded to a Fenix 6x Sapphire recently, and the Golf App worked as previously, hazard distances, dark mode, and also added the nice feature of hole maps with moveable target dstance as far as I can recall.

These features have all disappeared, despite 2 full software and 1 beta software setups.

Additional features are great, but taking away or blocking existing features on a watch of this price is very disappointing.

Anybody else having similiar issues?

Yep unfortunately this is 'progress'. There is a thread on the Approach S60 forum which is also asking the same thing, Garmin have responded and have promised to 'look at it'. Don't hold your breath.

For me the hazards feature needs to be easy and quick to use. Now its fiddly and slow. Not the best when your play golf and you just want a quick distance measurement to clear some water or a bunker.

BTW turn off 'big numbers' in the settings. You will then get a hole layout on screen.

Lol - I had turned on the big numbers as I assumed incorrectly that it was a scoring feature!

So the pictures are back, which looks good, but still no dark mode and very clunky hazards, virtually useless in play. On the 5x it really couldn't have been easier, really poor decision to change it.

I would like dark mode back, quite like the new sub menus but please bring back the old hazard method for distances.

I'm looking to buying the Fenix 6 pro solar. If you are standing in the fairway does it calculate how far you are to the green?
