what is the purpose of the the 3 red lines on the face of the watch, showing at 2?

Wondering if those lines are for pointing / positioning with the compass? How were they meant?

  • I think it's just to indicate that the top-right button is the main "GO" button. Seems to me like the red ring around the button itself would suffice, not to mention that everyone who's used the watch more than 30 seconds knows what that button does... but I digress. That's what the marks are for, we think.

  • Think that is just for aesthetics. It is in line with the start/stop button.

When you stretch your (watch) arm in front of you at the level of your eyes the red line point exactly in front of you. I thought this helps to point to a target and read the compass to follow a direction, as example in orienteering running. But instead this is as simple as aesthetics : (

This watch is driving me crazy.... in a positive sense...hehe

That's interesting, you're correct, the red dots line up perfectly at 12 o'clock when you hold your arm out straight. That would make the dots really cool for using with the Sight 'n Go function. But I just tried it, and like you said, the sight 'n go app wants you to line up the actual 12 o'clock position with where you want to go, not the red dots. Would be cool if they gave us the option to use the red dots as the aiming mark.
