My new Fenix 6X PRO SKI APP FREEZE DURING SKIING

I just used ski app in myy Garmin Fenix 6x pro solar in Mammoth ski resort. The app got frozen after first run. I soft reset the app and the same happened right after. This happend in my three days skiing. What is the issue? I purchased this watch mainly to track my skiing. Is there a fix?

I can confirm that. Went skiing this weekend and tried the app and it froze. I then read this thread and updated the watch to 5.00. Next day the bug was gone.

I had the exact same problem yesterday and today like 10 times... extremely annoying plus lost all data from these two days

Which fw version? Shall be fixed with fw 5.00 (and beta 4.67).

This is already covered extensively in this thread. It is very likely fixed in the latest sw 5.00 that was just released.

Looks like fixed. used it for 3 days after the FW 5.00 and worked fine

It's funny you don't see the Garmin haters on a thread like this. It's fantastic that Garmin works hard to fix a problem like this, and gets it done. I will be skiing this winter, and am very happy that this bug has been fixed. I will also be back country skiing, so I'm equally happy that Garmin has introduced the new back country skiing app.

I could do without the videos and the emojis, but perhaps they are important to some people.

I remain very impressed with Garmin's dedication to fixing bugs and making the Fenix 6 the premier sports watch on the market.
