Lactate Threshold test on the Garmin fenix 6x

Still issue with Test any suggestion what i doing wrong ?

I have had this too, with LTHR reporting in the low 100s at the beginning of a run.

LTHR test uses the inflection point in Heart Rate Variability that is typically associated with LT. Unfortunately, there are other inflection points in HRV, and the test can pick up on these, and give some pretty rubbish results.

A couple of suggestions:

1. Moisten the sensor pads on the chest strap before your run, to ensure good electrical contact between the strap and your skin.

2. Manually edit your LTHR in Garmin Connect to around 85% of maxHR, and then sync this to the watch, to give it a better idea of the range to expect.

3. Record your warmup as a separate activity. Then start the LTHR test as a new activity, with your heart rate already in zone 2.

The good news is that once you have a result from a valid test, the watch seems to find it much easier to generate good results in subsequent tests (at least in my experience).

I have done a test and it shows the same result that I got when I did a test in a lab a couple of months ago. I have max hr 195 and 175 in lthr. How should I set up the difference zones. I don't like the zones that Garmin makes. Any suggestions?,

I have similar to Sousekd, tested with polar h10.

You can set up up to 4 different zones. On the GC Web click the watch icon on the top-right, select Device Settings then User Settings.

Yes of course. But I was more interesting what % you guys use on the difference zones. And the lthr, in which zone should I have it.

I've looked at all 3 of your tests, and in each case you are starting with your HR below 100. As it seems to be picking up an inflection point in Heart Rate Variability at between 100-110 bpm, you want to ensure that no part of your test run is in this range. Do your warmup, save that activity, and then start the LTHR test as a new activity WHILE YOU ARE STILL RUNNING.
