Do not disturb and alarms

I set an alarm on Garmin connect and synced it to my watch. I verified it was on and active on my watch. The alarm was set on vibrate only as I didn't want to disturb my husband. My watch is set on do not disturb at night because I don't want texts and calls to come to it at night. The alarm did not go off this morning at 6am when it was set. Once do not disturb went off at 7:15 on my watch so did the alarm on my watch. How do I allow alarms on my watch when do not disturb is active. Is anyone else having this problem. My watch is up to date version 4.30.

Set Do Not Disturb to turn off shortly before the alarm you've set.

I will try that. Do you know if there is any way to set do not disturb different on weekends than through the week. Mon-Fri my alarm is set later than on weekends Sat and Sunday when I get up early to run. I get up almost 2hrs earlier on the weekend than the week. My fenix 5s did not have this problem and the alarm would go off even if do not disturb was on.

That's strange. The Do Not Disturb on my Fenix 6 Sapphire is set to turn off at 6 a.m. and my alarm is set for 5:30 a.m. My alarm goes off every morning. The alarm should be going off even with DND active. Was this only once ore every morning?

I just got the watch a little over a week ago. It happened Saturday and this morning. They were both set during a DND time. I have not had it work yet ofif it was set during DND. I thought maybe the first time I slept through it but it did it again and went off as soon as DND went off both times. My regular alarm set after DND goes off without fail.

I had a similar problem with my Vivoactive 3. I think I deleted the alarms on my watch and then set them again directly on the watch instead of Garmin Connect. Maybe worth a shot? Probably doesn't need to be suggested, but restarting it wouldn't hurt.

If all else fails, philipshambrook's recommendation works. But the alarm should be going off, so I'd still reach out to Garmin support.

This is very odd and is news to me! The alarm should work independently from DND mode. The only function of an Alarm is to disturb hell out of me (using just vibration) and it has to ignore DND settings. I am confused now.

I am going to try on my Marq today but I have a feeling that it's a firmware-dependent behavior.

mule, what firmware version do you have on your watch?

Just updated on Monday to 4.30 from 3.10.

i had found this to be the case on my fenix 3hr and the 6x. so probably garmin thinks. if DND then DND. find this rather odd. At least give us an option to configure if alarms can ignore DND
