GPS location periodical automatic record

Hi all,

I am looking for a watch that would allow to automatically save current location at set interval, without having to manually activate GPS mode.

The goal is to track a trip in a very remote area. I want to log location every 30mn, without having to think about it.

Should be standalone on the watch itself, not needing any communication or storage device.

Does the fenix allow this? ..or another model?

Sounds like you should try using the Expedition App. When using thatApp, you can set GPS recording interval to every 15, 30, 45, 60, 75 or 90 minutes. Battery life is several weeks.

Do you or anyone else know on whitch other Garmin watch models this app is available?

I think only the Fenix 6 and the Marq Adventurer

Just a question:

why won´t you start for example the hike app to for tracking the whole trip? Because of battery? As far as I understand, you can´t see your current postion on the map page while using the expedition mode:
