️ Do not buy Fenix 6s ASIA version since it does not have Pulse Ox feature

I am really disappointed to know that my fenix 6s I bought in Japan hasno Pulse Ox feature on it. There is no advertisement of the product that some features are not available in some countries, but I got email from garmin product support ([email protected])

After doing some research on the Japanese version of the fenix 6S, I discovered that it unfortunately does not come with the Pulse Ox feature due to local laws. If you have further questions about the watch, I will need to transfer you to another team that supports the Asian software.

So, for you wondering why your fenix 6s does not record Pulse Ox data, you may stop searching. And stop buying garmin product as the products are not as what they are advertised, and we should be cautious on this matter in the future

The fact that gadgets and devices differ from one country to another (especially APAC countries vs EMEA and US) is nothing unique to Garmin. Why didn't you check the spec. before buying? First screen shot…

I do realize that you are very dissatisfied about the fact that your watch lacks features but don't blame Garmin...

Hardly Garmin's fault then. If you want to circumvent the local laws buy a ROW watch from the interweb.

That's definitely frustrating and it would be better for Garmin to highlight that certain features are missing in a particular version. But it's hardly Garmin's fault they are following local laws. Also, not all ASIA versions are the same. I bought my ASIA Fenix 6 Sapphire in Vietnam and it has all the same features as an ROW device.

Isn't that a bit naive; to say that Garmin should highlight what's missing for customers in a specific country just so that you from another country would know if it is a good choice to buy it cheaper or not?

What Garmin puts on their page is used to sell the watch and make it as attractive as possible, not the opposite.
