Storage Question (New User)

Hi, there.

Noob Fenix 6 user. Trying to upload Spotify play list. Keeps failing. Check in Garmin Connect app under manage storage and it says 15835k and 27 slots.

I was under the impression this watch has 32gb of storage.

Any help is gratefully appreciated.

Ta.

  • Ahah! That's great answer :) Many thanks.

So basically, we have 15 MB / 30 slots available to pimp the watch.
The rest is: maps (huuuuuuge: I am downloading an update now, 10 GB!) and additionnal available for music or something else.

Concerning the full memory: I don't see the watch appearing as a device in the finder, which should probably be appearing since it is a storage device? hum... ? Will try to find out when update is finished... in 3+ hours ;)

  • I don't see the watch appearing as a device in the finder,

Since you are using mac, you need extra software, such as android file transfer.

  • I don't see the watch appearing as a device in the finder, which should probably be appearing since it is a storage device?

Latest garmin devices, especially those with music, are not USB storage devices, but rather MTP.

  • OK, well noted the. And I understand I need a soft to see the "inside" of the watch. ok :) many thanks

  • did you ensure battery saver was off? I just had a sync issue where Garmin Connect stated not enough memory, but that turned out to be bc battery save mode was on

  • Thanks ! I'm a brand new user of Fenix 6 Sapphire (supposed to be "PRO") and when I saw that 15Mb I was pretty confused ! I was about to write to reseller since it had to be Pro (even if Sapphire implies the Pro..another weird marketing stuff !). Now it's clear ! 15Mb is for App & co, 32Gb is for music/other files. Still, confusing for the average users (and I'm an IT person..)
