Change from Apple Maps to Google Maps in GCM

Upon reviewing an activity today in Garmin Connect Mobile on my iPhone, I noticed for the first time the map view uses Apple Maps. I prefer Google Maps, which it was previously using. Is there a way to switch back?

Not that I'm aware of. Interesting I noticed that Strava had changed their map to something else too recently.

Unfortunately not, or I don’t find it. I also prefer google maps.

I believe it's all about costs, as using google maps does have a cost, while apple maps is free (or at least cheaper for the moment :)

I think Apple may be ensuring their maps are used on the mobile apps. I note the desktop version is still using Google on both platforms.

I had an iPhone a while back and I can swear that there was a setting in garmin connect mobile to select apple or google maps. I can't remember where it was though.
