Pool swim distance

Hi, I have just got my Fenix 6, I’m very happy with it.

i noticed it correctly tracked my first 2 pool swim distances but the next two it added 25m and then 50m.

Firstly, any idea why? Secondly, I corrected on the phone app using the edit function but it still shows then linger distance under Last Activity even after syncing.

any suggestions?

thanks.

When extra lengths get added, especially if it only is an extra length or two and not on all laps, it's usually due to making some kind of movement that the watch mistakes as a new length. Make sure that you are getting a good push at the wall and glide for a second or so before you start stroking again. If you stop or make some other kind of odd motion partway though a length the watch might read that as a new length so be aware of that and make sure to switch to rest mode at the end of each set and if you are going to be doing something that's not typical swimming use drill mode instead. You can also use drill mode to correct for an error if you want. Since it lets you choose the distance you can start a drill in place of one of your regular swimming intervals and then enter less distance to correct for an extra length that was added earlier.

As for the Last Activity that won't update, if you manually edit an activity after the sync the changes do not sync back to the watch. While it can be annoying it's just the way Garmin has implemented sync. You might consider submitting that as a feature request to Garmin, if enough people ask for it they might consider implementing it.
