Please raise any button issues with support (Engineer investigation)

Hi,

Now on Fenix number 4 which has developed sticky buttons (typically 'double bouncing' on the way out). On the latest, it's happening with the Start button.

Garmin Support in the UK have added me to a ticket regarding button issues with the device, as the engineers are investigating the issue in general.

As a result, if you are unhappy with the buttons for whatever reason, please can you contact support in order to officially add your weight behind the case.

What should be the right behavior?
I just received mine, because the same thing happened to me with 945, and in the Start and Power buttons I can feel a double click, and in the rest of the buttons I only feel a click but solid, not sticky, the return is felt.

Should I be worried?

Already I feel bad to report these cases with the Support area.

In my view, any button should click on once, and click out once! Anything else is indicating a sticky issue.

Each Fenix 6 I have had has had different combinations of buttons being normal or sticky.

My first Fenix 6 Pro had 3 sticky buttons and my replacement is down to one sticky button. I won't replace until the issue is fixed completely.

No sticky or otherwise unusual buttons on my 6X yet, had it for 45 days now. Hopefully it stays that way.

I got the problem with start button with the 2nd fenix 6 (my 1st one got battery problem and have to wait for 3 weeks for exchange). Dont want to wait that long 1 more time so i guess i ll just live with the button issue.

Feeling the fenix 6 products have much variable quality which shouldnt happen with this kind of high end products

No buttons issues since August the 29th on my Fenix 6 Titanium.

I had many issues with this with my 5 plus. Buttons were sticky, double clicking, starting good and turning worse later, many returns. Fortunately Garmin has good service. I decided to move to a 6x, which I believe has another button construction because the case is bigger and different. I also read no button issues on the forum for the X versions (5 and 6). So far, the buttons are just great. One firm click, no "camera double click" feel, no loss of click, just perfect.

I think Garmin indeed may have some problem management / quality assurance work to do on this topic, but my recommendation for now is; go with the X.

I returned mine with screen issue, once Ι receive a watch that I will keep, I will provide feedback of buttons of my Fenix 6x sapphire.
